Objectives:
(1) Employees will be aware of the need for the district to have emergency contact information on file.
(2) Employees will decide what information they wish to share with first responders.
(3) Employee emergency information release agreement has been made available to all employees via Skyward.
Facilitator(s): Joan Ragland
Read Carefully: Rationale/Information
In an emergency when first responders are called to campus to render assistance, the district has identified a need for improvement.
First responders to medical situations need the following information as quickly as possible:
>Name of person needing emergency services
>Age of person needing help
>Emergency contact information for the patient
>Allergies, Medications, Medical Conditions
>Preferred hospital, Name of Doctor

For students, there is a Student Emergency Details tab in Skyward that can be accessed by the campus or district PEIMS person, printed, and handed to the administrator responding to the emergency, to the campus officer, or directly to the first responder.
However, for employees, the Emergency Contact Tab in Skyward is currently not being utilized. Information in this tab MUST BE ENTERED by each employee. He/she can enter as much or as little information as one is willing to share. The employee has the option to update or change the information provided in the Emergency Contact Tab at any time. This means that it is up to the employee to make sure that the most current information is available if needed.
Only identified personnel on each campus will have access to print the information if needed.

Assignment:
(1) Click to view a sample of emergency contact printout. It is suggested that one print this sample as a guide when completing their online emergency contact form. Mrs. Ragland has printed copies of this printout available for your use.

(2) View the attached video for detailed instructions on completing the Emergency Contact form in Skyward.

(3) Review the steps to enter Staff Emergency Contact information:

(4) Log in to your Employee Access account and provide information you are willing to share with first responders in a medical emergency.   Be sure to print the guide for completing emergency information to assist as you complete the form online.

Curipod is a slide show presentation-style tool that combines polls, word clouds, drawings, and more to offer a digitally interactive space for teachers and students.
One can use Curipod like any other slide-based interactive assessment tool, creating from scratch or picking from a selection of pre-built options. However, this will also let you build using AI, which makes it faster and should mean it's easier than other options available.
Curipod lets you create a lesson in collaboration with other teachers, and easily share that with individuals or groups. You can include polls that can be sent to student devices and have the results shown on the big screen in class.
